A book written by Sir Walter Scott in 1828 started a rumor that opals were bad luck. This myth was dispelled by Queen Victoria in the 1880's who gave opals to her children. The famous Rene Lalique said that opals were his favorite gemstone. This sublime looking treasure features three Australian solid opals that are well matched and show brilliant colour. The white diamonds lend importance to the ring and it is crafted in 18ct Yellow Gold. It has been well cared for since it was made 113 years ago. In a carved half hoop style, this ring will look incredible with linens and pastel colours in spring and summertime.
